At The Ceylon Tea Company, our teas are grown in an earth friendly manner,
and we also have a strong emphasis on treating our plantation workers fairly.
We are concerned about the welfare of all our employees, and they are treated
with dignity and respect. Our employees are rewarded with fair remuneration, and
a percentage of our profits are used to support and educate the children of these workers as well. The New Era Children's Fund is the charitable arm through which
this assistance is distributed. These children are our pride and joy!

In the plantation industry there are many certifications issued by various
authorities worldwide, regulating the human rights of employees and the impact
of the industry on the environment. Global Compact, initiated by the United Nations,
is the overarching certification in this regard. The plantations and processing
plants that The Ceylon Tea Company employ have received this esteemed
certification. For more information on Global Compact, please visit
